Quite a good flick, btw. I was pleasantly surprised.

Okay, I think she's on of the best actresses ever, and I think she is earth-shatteringly beautiful... but I've never thought she was sexy. But I thought she was in this movie. Why??? The Colonial British accent? Her hair? Seriously... strange.

1. I thought she played her character well. Didn't see any reason why
she would outdo the story. The story & the moral was good.

It had a VERY good, realistic backstory. Very good blend of Mugabe and Rwanda, I thought. And, it kept me guessing. I almost had it right! And, I knew from the insert shot at the beginning the catering cart had something to do with everything...

I was wrong in that I thought they were setting her up to be the assisin....

Very good, subtle performance. I wonder why the film didn't do better.

4. It was a made up country
But, they seemed to really used Mugabe's rule in Zimbabwe and the genocide in Rwanda as the foundation of the story.

8. Well it is a story that repeats itself in non-democracies.

9. I told my SO that the movie may have been too thought provoking
ala "The Constant Gardener," to do boffo box office. I almost didn't watch it because I wasn't in the mod for an action movie... but the SO loves Kidman, so we did. Good movie!
