The cat keeps bringing us snakes
One of our cats has taken to catching garter snakes and bringing them into the house as presents for us and the inddoor cats. We had five "presents" when we came home from work today. One garter snake once is cute; three or five live snakes at once is no longer cute. We don't want to lock the cat in--he was an adult neighborhood stay when we took him in and is used to going out. Also, we're afraid he'll get his revenge for being locked in by spraying and clawing. He's a bit of a wild child. Maybe we should lock him out.

1. A cat will pretty much keep your property snake free.
For good or ill.
If you don't like snakes, get one or two cats.

7. WHAT? a CAT caught a SNAKE? Americans, weird.... here a snake bit a cow
and it died to quickly that it's horn dug into the ground.Given the opportunity, our snakes kill cats. And dogs. And cows. And people. And Kangaroos. And birds (except the Kookabarra which kills snakes). And koalas. And wombats. And anything else you'd care to mention. And each other.

And they get freaking huge. I mean 7 foot long, poisonous as anything, thicker than your arm, snakes.

15. These are small, harmless, nonvenomous snakes.
They are sort of cute, actually.

14. Wait until they wiggle up somewhere and die in your house.
One of my cats ruined a perfectly good vacuum cleaner by bringing in live mice. He cornered them near the vacuum......

I didn't notice the smell until I turned on the vacuum.

16. Thanks
Just what I wanted to hear. And we left the cat door unlocked when we left the house this morning.
