Speaking of cologne & perfume. PLEASE DON'T overdo it!
I hate going somewhere and getting within 10 foot of someone that doesn't know how much is too much. If I can smell you long after you have left you are using too much! Some of these colognes/perfumes damn near choke you in high concentrations.

1. Oh, I know what you mean. There's a lady who works at the
service desk in the supermarket I go to. When I have to go to her counter, the Jovan Musk (talk about an OUTDATED cologne!) just gags me. I try to hold my breath as much as possible, but she just reeks! Can't people tell when they wear too much???

2. A civil rights issue
I won't wear any. I consider it a civil rights issue for people with disabilities. Colognes and perfumes can have a profound effect, even life-threatening, on the health and well-being of people with certain disabilities and/or on certain medications. I feel their right to equal access far outweighs my right to smell artificial.

3. I find that a good shower in the morning does wonders.
I like irish spring as a soap. It seems to take care of any body odors I have. I always wonder how bad those people that pile it on really stink to have to nuke the smell.

4. I second that!
I wear fragrance most of the time, but it's just a dab, and no cloud follows me around. Some fragrances, mainly ones with amber in them, give me migraines. It's also rude to douse yourself in cologne/fragrance---if someone can smell it even two or three feet away, IT'S TOO MUCH. :(

5. I love fine fragrance...
But no one else should be able to catch the scent unless they are very, ahem, close. So I pick gentle scents for daytime wear & apply just a dab. (Not perfume--it's far too heavy & far too expensive.)

Some of the worst offenders: People who wear "Smells Just Like..." scents. They might smell a bit like the more expensive fragrance at first, but turn bad quickly. And they tend to be STRONG! (Not all scents are expensive.)

Back when Poison was new, someone must have bathed in it before going to the symphony. As I was leaving, a lady said "I swear, I've been smelling Campho-Phenique all night!"
