Is this an annoying habit I should break? Or just a minor peccadillo?

6. You just need to mix it up with "in actuality" and "indubitably"
and "y'know?"

11. I'm actually a little surprised as well!
I wonder sometimes if I'm actually doing it while I actually look for the right word to say -because, actually, I love words, especially words that actually mean precisely what I'm trying to say!

9. In fact, I actually frequently write and say "in fact." In fact, I can't
actually stop myself, and that's a fact. In fact I actually would prefer it if I actually said "actually" instead of "in fact," but in fact, I don't actually.

10. Actually, maybe I'll start saying "in fact" - at least some of the time
because, actually, what I really might in fact mean is actually "in fact"!

12. LOL....I have been reading some of my posts and noticed that I
have been hung up on that word, too.

I write this kind of stream of consciousness style.
I post on here in all stages from complete sobriety to annihilating intoxication.
I forget to use punctuation.
I have typos in almost every post.
I use slang and "cuss" words.
I would hate for the English teachers on here to grade my posts.

with all that being said I find the overuse of one word to be a minor peccadillo.

13. actually, I do work in higher ed. In fact,
I'm a writing tutor!

I think what actually brought this to my attention was the "My Posts" function under "My DU" - several of my subject lines contain the word "actually"!

14. that explains your avatar...
if I was rich and could attend school just for the FUN of it, I would love to do a thesis on the ghost in Hamlet. I have this theory about it, actually.

15. You know, you could still do the thesis.
You can do the research and stuff on your own. And maybe get it published in a small journal. (Or a not so small journal!)]

But I know what you mean about attending school full time for fun. I'm actually getting a master's in library science so I can work full time at a college. Not quite the same as being a full-time student, but it's close enough.

21. Like, what is your problem, man? Are you like one of those people
who are like so anal that they like actually care about like overuse of words like 'actually' and like' or something? Actually I like totally don't care if you like actually are. In fact, I'm actually quite comfortable with what I like and like I like what I like and, like, thats like actually all that matters

So there.
