My little sister had to use a nebulizer as a little girl. I can picture her sad little face underneath that big plastic mask, with steam coming out the sides. Poor kiddo.

She doesn't suffer from asthma at all now, however. Must have done something right.

55. I was rather the studly character when that movie was released...
At least in my own mind....

Three times I went to "the" movie with three different companions....

In the course of two weeks...

Alas, I only bedded the one I began my repetitive cinematic fortnight with...

The other two proved as elusive as Mc Murphy's search for freedom....

Ah, but just the thought of that heady time brings a slight smile to my lips...

I wonder if all three are alive, well or what has indeed become of them....

22. The French version of "Cyrano de Bergerac" with Gerard DePardieu
To me it's the best screen version of the play. The music is wonderful, the cinematography and direction are first rate, and the acting is beyond great.

I also like the film version of the opera Carmen, with Placido Domingo and Julia Migenes-Johnson. Placido is also a good actor. I long ago lost count of the number of times I've seen that film, but the visuals (shot on location in a small Spanish town) are so stunning and the music and singing so beautiful that I just don't get tired of watching it.

Casablanca and The Big Sleep are two Bogart films I can watch at least once a month and continue to enjoy. I wish I could enter these movies and live in that time.

about two years ago, I was obsessed with that film. I kept renting it over and over. Finally I had to buy it. The film is long, around three hours, however, it's pure genius so I just couldn't get enough of it.

Also, Unforgiven, Pulp Fiction, Goodfellas and some comedies such as Happy Gilmore, Kingpin and the classics with Christopher Guest and his crew. "This Is Spinal Tap" "Best In Show" etc.

Eclectic. These just jumped into my mind; they are never stale. As wonderful as Gettysburg was (incredible music), that's how horrid "Gods and Generals" was. Unbelievable that the same people did the two movies.

57. I've got a couple
Blazing Saddles is one of them--I can sit and watch over and over again, and keep finding something funny all the time;

Ever After--it's a chick flick, what can I say, but there is just SO much satisfaction toward the end with the wicked stepmother and that bitch of a daughter. And for those who have never seen it, it's the Cinderella story from a different perspective.

And I hesitate to name another--True Lies. Yes, I know it's the Gubenator, but it's a fun movie. And Jamie Lee Curtis, Tom Arnold and Bill Paxton are just too funny. I think Ah-nold was better in that film than in 95% of his entire life, either as "governor" or as an actor.

Sixth Sense--can't watch it as many times as some of the others, but I watch it just to see the "hints" along the way. Some of it is a bit too maudlin, but it's a well-crafted movie, nevertheless.

65. Princess Bride and Willy Wonka are at the top of my list too.
I decided to watch the new Willy Wonka last night, and I really hated it. Johnny Depp was too "Michael Jackson-ish", not in his attitude towards children, but his overall appearance, voice, and mannerisms. Didn't like any of the Oompa Loompa songs. The whole scene in the tunnel sucked in comparison to the original. Overall, very disappointed.

Edited on Wed Apr-05-06 05:45 PM by Lisa
I can see something new each time.

And, for some reason, the BBC's dramatization of William Boyd's "Armadillo". The African music on the score might be a reason why I like it so much -- I even tracked down the CDs by the various artists (such as Papa Wemba), which I've never done before for a film. "The Constant Gardener" uses some of the same music, but "Armadillo" did it first ...

There are so many movies to see, from 1920 on, that I don't like to watch anything over and over. But, if I did, "Tremors" would be one of a few.
