I know Siouxsie and Millie and Cosmo would go mad for something like that.

5. You're right, they ARE lucky to have me. I just wish they'd show some
damn appreciation once in a while . . . :P

Nah, I'm lucky to have them, they deserve a big toy like this (providing the bidding doesn't go too high). :)

7. Actually, I'm bidding on the same tree, different auction, I posted the
wrong link. I have a maximum bid of $45.00. The bidding is up to $16.00 now and the auction ends in just under 4 hours.

They charge outrageous shipping, so most of the trees themselves go for only $30 or less, they make all their profit off the shipping.

10. i paid $106, i think, about a month ago
from the distributor. made in china, VERY well made. shipping was free, i think, & it arrived in less than a week.

i'll send you a link, in case you don't win the auction. keep us posted!

16. I can't believe how low the bids are!
But then I calculated the shipping...and on some of them ..the bigger ones, it's nearly 80.00 for me! Guess I'm too far from the shipper.

17. Nah, that's where they make the money.
If you buy from the manufacturer, the shipping is free, but the price of the cat tree is $150 or so.

It all works out the same in the end (just the low E-Bay price catches peoples eye and they bid before they look at shipping). I've seen people bid high to win, and end up paying the same amount again in shipping.

These things are also pretty heavy, so the actual cost of shipping, although lower than what they show you, isn't exactly cheap :).

14. I got outbid :(
Oh well, maybe I'll just order straight from the company, it'll cost a bit more, but that's okay.

18. We have TWO from this company via ebay
Edited on Fri Mar-31-06 01:44 PM by LostinVA
The three kitties love them, and have used them constantly for the last year. Yes, they aren't as sturdy as the $300o ones, but hey are sturdy enough. One of my kitties is n18 lbs., one about 11, and one 7... and they climb up it, sleep on the platforms, play and fight on it....

on edit: the shipping was $50 each ($$$), but they both costonly $30 each, and are 76" tall.
