I'm Resigning Today! Tell me anything!
Finally, I get to leave this hell-hole! Haven't done it yet, it's 11:44 EST - does anybody have any suggestions??

I found a job that pays almost as much, but I only have to work 3 days a week (and have insurance!)

I am trying not to gloat, but it's hard. :silly:

1. Good for you!
Glad to hear a story where life is getting better for someone and they happen to be one of our own!

2. Oooh! You lucky duck.
Hope that doesn't mean you're bound for "lucky duckihood," as the WSJ would say. You have another job lines up?

3. Leave gracefully
Don't burn any bridges. Go forth and conquer; then develop positive thoughts about your current position which you may use in the future. Good Luck.

5. I'm with the Boss man
Go gracefully into this new chapter of your life.
Take some time to tell others thank you for helping you learn new skills, ideas, ect... No matter how good or bad a situation you always have a chance to learn.
What a great Christmas present for you!!! I am so happy for you. Now go out there and make it your best year yet!

6. Agree with bosshog
Leave gracefully.

There was an old southern saying that applies here:

Keep your words soft and sweet 'cause someday you may have to eat them.

13. Excellent advice. Be the gentle, wise soul as you walk out tall...
Leave your old gig on a high note (even if it has been a bitter experience, it has taught you something valuable).

Never look back, and then forge ahead with your karma in the plus column.

All best to you -- :toast:

9. Get more involved in things that
are important to me - alternative health care, some volunteer work, writing and most importantly - work on a campaign for the Democratic nominee (unless its Lieberman).

12. Just starting, have taken
classes, but I plan to write about health issues and alternative methods. I am 1 project away from a M.A. in Integral Health Education, and think that - under the current circumstances, with the ranks of the uninsured growing daily - it is important that people become educated on self-care and wellness.

Not a replacement for insurance, but then I rarely need to see a doctor because I usually know what I have and how to deal with it. May focus on blood sugar/mood/addiction/insulin resistance etc.

I may also do some creative stuff as well.

15. Congratulations
You could go out quietly and with class...

OR

Drive around in circles in front of the building dragging the corporate softball championship trophy behind you, while yelling obscenities about your boss through a bullhorn.
