Ok, let's own up: Celebrity crushes
Edited on Thu Dec-04-03 09:29 PM by breezygirl
Not just ones you think are knockouts, but ones you think are totally cool personally. (I would assume most of them are liberals)

Me, I am in high school and absolutely love Johnny Depp because he's the most awesome guy because 1) he has expressed dislike for the admins in DC and 2) he's a phenomenal (sp?) actor and 3) he is a DISH.

Ok, now i feel dumb, so who are some of yours?

edit: you know I cannot get through a single post w/o making a grammatical or spelling error?

1. Viggo Mortensen is a poet & a liberal, and Sean Penn
for his grit and personal convictions. Truly, I'm not sure I'd go so far as to call them crushes, but for the sake of playing along, I think this makes them damned fine dudes.

I m-m-m him, plus Jude Law. Plus Gary Sinese. Plus Tom Petty. I think they are all real purty.

Did I make fun? Did not at all mean to. I may have spelled Sinese wrong, oh well. I still dig him, but please tell me his politics are exactly like mine.

6. beverly d'angelo
best known as chevy chase's wife in the national lampoon "vacation" movies.

she was my babysitter (honest!) before she was famous, obviously. she was in high school and i couldn't have been more than 7 years old.

i suppose that's actually a fairly normal, non-celebrity crush -- she only turned into a celebrity later....

I really liked that red head on designing women and now I can't remember her name. My wife loved to watch the show and I'd kvetch and complain and then sit and watch it with her raptly.

I've been in love with him for 28 years, since I was ten years old, and even more so now after I recently saw him in concert (he gives a helluva concert btw). And especially since he's done duets with Barbra Streisand to raise money for liberal/progressive causes. And I don't even know if he's married or not, but what I wouldn't give to be her, SIGH!!!

63. That's Orlando Bloom
And, in the world of Crush, age is irrelevant. We can all take a break from more serious matters & just be fangirls (or fanboys).

Happily, young Mr. Bloom often appears with such "elders" as Viggo Mortensen or Johnny Depp (hey, we respect them for their artistry & political views). A good value for our entertainment dollar....

Tommy Lee Jones b/c he was Captain Call (Lonesome Dove) and he owned the role he played in the fugitive Sam(?).

Gary Sinise b/c he's an actor not a celebrity and he shuns the Hollywood scene.

Liam Neeson, see above. Sexy as hell, too.

Bono for many reasons, but I like his passion.

John Mellencamp, for "Little Pink Houses" which the Chimpy campaign tried to appropriate at campaign stops in 2000, not realizing the irony.

I'm totally bonkers over Peter Krause (who plays Nate Fisher in Six Feet under - plus, I read an interview with him and he appears to be an extremely deep, intelligent, and liberal guy). As far as women go: Tea Leoni, Diane Lane, and Jennifer Aniston (I know that some people here think that friends is overrated, but I think she's adorable and she's also supposed to be a really incredible person. She and Brad are very liberal and starting to become more outspoken about it).
