Here's a photo of one of our baby girls, with her schnauzer cut.
I groomed her today to go to her new home with an Army sergeant stationed at Camp Shelby in South Mississippi. Isn't she a doll baby?

Here's Lucinda with five of her babies.

1. How do you handle giving them away?
I don't know that I could do that. The cuteness! :)

And something about a pack of terriers just gives me the giggles.

2. Well, I'm looking forward to not having to pick up puppy poop and pee...
anymore. :D

They have been inside since the day they were born, and with six pups, it's been a full-time job to keep the floor clean!

BUT I will certainly miss having the pups on the couch with me...they love to sit on my chest when I'm lying back on the couch watching a movie or whatever. There's nothing as sweet as the smell of puppy breath. :)

Yes, I'll miss them. This is Lucinda's first an only litter. All of the pups so far have gone to excellent homes and I know that they will be doted on just as much as we dote on Lucinda.

kidding. I know that you'll find good homes for the puppies.

besides, they're technically terriers. Although puppy teeth are sharp.

34. I hope you've had a LONG talk with her about her babies and how they're
going to new homes and such.

It's important that she understands what's going on... I know it sounds like a silly thing to do, but dogs are very intelligent and entitled to explanations about things we take for granted.

And on top of that, what BEEEE YOOOO TEEE FULL babies! She must be a very proud mamma!

3. We have a black mini-schnauzie too
Edited on Mon Mar-13-06 06:38 PM by Richardo
Yours are fantastic! :loveya:

Ours had ears that started off laying down like yours, but are now stand-ups. We never have them docked so she looks very much like a rabbit. :D

She put her golden retriever in obedience classes.

Labs are intelligent, and rambunctious, dogs. I love them! :hi:

14. You need to read the book "Marley and Me", it's a wonderful story
about a couple and their Labrador Retreiver, Marley. I laughed and cried, and didn't put it down but once. :hi:

;) It is truly the best story I have read in a long time. Made me give my own little troublemaker a great big hug and a thank you for being such a good dog.

5. So Cute!
My first dog when I was little was a Schnauzer. His name was Schultie. He lived to the ripe old age of 14. Was the Dad black? How did you get all black puppies with a silver female.

9. Lucinda, the mom, was the only silver in her litter....
all of her litter mates were black. And her litter had one salt and pepper, and the rest were black. They also have the smooth coat like her.

They are sweet. They cutest part of them, to me, is their little nubby tails. when they wag their tails, instead, they end up wagging their entire butts.

Hi, MisU. :hi:

25. I think that this is the last litter for her.
The puppies are adorable--we gave two away to two girls we know who wanted them badly. (Katrina kids, so to speak.) We only have little boys left--two of them.

When we got Lucinda, we didn't intend for her to be a puppy producing money maker. You know from all the posts I've posted about her...she's a princess to us--and she's just such a well-behaved girl that we wanted to let her have a litter--and the puppies are perfect imitations of their mom, except for coat color.

If we have another litter, it will be at least a year. I'll let you know at that time.

:hi:

27. I love Chester!
Isn't he a beaut of a brute!

Schnauzers are the most intelligent dogs I've ever had the good fortune to have as companions. Almost human in their ability to listen and obey commands. Just all around excellent companions.

Chester is adorable! :hi:

28. That's what I like about Schnauzers. They are small, but hardy.
Lucinda weighs about 12 lbs. She's small, but not fragile, if that makes sense. She can hold her own against our Weimaraners, and even back them away from the outside doggie dish.

She definitely rules this roost. :hi:

29. LOL.
Thanks! She's special to us. Everyone who sees her remarks that she has the shiniest coat they've ever seen. She's silver and white, with some dark gray markings on her face. And her personality is just the best I've ever seen in a dog. I bet your mom's is that way, too. Just brilliant dogs.

:hi: Blue Jay!
