DNW
The news that has been coming out of DU about our government and the world for the last couple of weeks has been nearly unbelievable. Some of it has been outrageous. Some of it has been ridiculous. Almost daily, I see something so mind-numbingly wrong, stupid, or crazy that I can only stare at it, slack jawed, and then respond, "Dude, no way."

I almost never use the word "dude" in conversation. I can't remember the last time I said it aloud. Yet, the shock and wonder at how absurd the world today is leaves me with an image of myself as the main character in a stoner movie, gaping "Dude, where's my car?" or other such bewilderment.

Thus, I propose a new shorthand expression, "DNW," for "Dude, no way."

Example:

Poster 1: Is there nothing they won't try to pull? They're selling the ports to Halliburton, and saying that anybody who opposes it hates America! And they're not just implying it. This morning, G-Dub actually said it!
Poster 2: DNW!

Accept or reject.

1. Works for me.
Although I usually prefer something like "No Shit, Sherlock." ... at least when the news is the inevitable and predictable.

3. I hate every last one of the internet abbreviations.
Pain in the ass, until you know what they mean, which could take days, weeks, or months.
