Jon Stewart is on fire at the Oscars...
...and the dumbasses in the audience are too dumb to get his jokes. Unfortunate.

52. I know everyone wants him to do well, but face it, he bombed.
Its painful, but any objective view of it is that he bombed. Any average nightly monologue from the Daily Show is much better.

I love him, I feel bad for him, but he bombed worse than Letterman.

They dissed him with that opening skit, too. Bastards.

Billy Crystal is looking bad.

76. I think Stewart did OK
Not his best work IMO but pretty good . Maybe Im expecting too much edge, and this the Oscars, not a political forum.

Clooneys acceptance speech rocked. I love how he mentioned Hollywoods history of being ahead on most issues, and affecting (effecting) change with important films.

80. well that really is the point isn't it?
I mean, it's not TDS and not everyone watching is familiar with his humor. Good example, in the beginning when he made the "squeeky voice and the scrunchy face". WE knew what he was talking about and he wouldn't have had to say another word. But, he had to follow it up so they got what he meant so it took the edge off the joke for everyone.

We know him and love him and want him to be what we see 4 nights a week and he just can't bde that to a world wide audience that doesn't know him.

89. This guy is making a plug for going to theaters instead of DVD at home.
Whatever. In my living room I don't have to deal with screaming kids, ringing cell phones and my feet sticking to the floor.

93. Hollywood's
doing a better job than FEMA. Right after Katrina, Shreveport was a beehive of major filming that
moved north and kept shooting. Those jobs are meaningful because they pay well - and every job you do usually leads to another.
