1. I guess this is it.
I know I'm not getting paid to do this.
So it must be a hobby.

On the other hand, maybe it's a pastime.
I wonder what the difference is?
hmmm

7. miz t. colects blue (cobalt?) glass things.
We have 'A' frame windows high up at each end of the great room.
She has different cobalt glass bottles/jars/vases on the sills and the afternoon sunlight really looks cool in blue pools on the walls and floor.

12. That is, indeed, a deep pockets hobby.
I was a pilot, military and commercial for over 30 years.
Luckily, I never had to pay for an hour of flying time.
In fact, I was paid for every minute I spent in a cockpit.

43. Me, too.
Love it, but it's become waaaay too expensive to do much of it. I used to work part-time as a flight instructor, which paid for some of it, but after awhile I got tired of getting paid $9/hour for having people try to kill me. Still, flying is about as much fun as you can have with your clothes on.

16. These are a few of my favorites
*I collect Elephant figures (although I rarely tell anyone I do otherwise they buy me all sort of elephants and I prefer to collect special ones that have something unusual about them. I have weeded out most of the "gifts")
*I read all the time. (sometimes I have more then one going at the same time)
*I am fascinated but Egyptology. I suck up any documentary, or book I can get my hands on but I prefer the visual.
*Gardening/Landscaping (I am learning as I go and often change things)
*I love to browse at the Wine shop (I can spend an hour easy just looking)
*I like shoes (prefer sandals, in all shapes, colors and styles)
*Cryptozoology (this fascinates me as well in that myths or the unknown have crossed continents and generations and people are still reporting the same things. I suck up all the stories regarding Loch Ness, Yeti, Bigfoot etc. I find the psychological aspects of this phenomenon quite interesting

as well as writing. I collect lots of things, but it seems like dust bunnies abound more than my other collectables: pegasi, dragons and other fantasy animals, mugs (from all my travels), software (I am an admitted download-aholic), kitchen gadgets, cat oriented stuff, real ones (cats, that is!), DVDs--mainly TV shows on DVD, I voraciously devour books, and trivia.

53. I collect tacky souvenirs
I have three shelves full of them in my office. Standouts are the two foot tall water bottle shaped like the Seattle Space Needle, canned roadkill from Tennesse, a cheesehead can holder (bonus points because it was bought at a truck stop), and Pope Benedict Coronation commemorative bottle opener. But there are many more.

I also collect teenage series books (particularly the "malt shop" series from the 1940s, 50s, and 60s), read voraciously, garden, and am a rabid Michigan football fan.

54. Jewelry making
I make mostly necklaces, either delicate knotted "tin cup" necklaces (only with smaller stones and closer together)

or wire-work necklaces with semi-precious stones dangling from a pre-made chain like the one below, only more complicated (longer bits in front, shorter bits on the sides)

I have a friend with a shop who sells the dangly ones for me. It pays for more supplies!
