but you know what really shocked me? I was watching Eurosports to see the game and then the commentator said something like "* is going to be happy about this and will watch the game and congratulate the boys". I was like :wtf: Does this guy know if the athletes are happy about that????

since the rural areas here in Minnesota tend to vote republican. But I cannot be certain. However, I am pretty certain * did not pay any attention to curling, since it is not a mainstream sport here.

Germany came out best but there was a big dissappoinment in athletes who didn't win (gold) that it took a while to be happy about the athletes who won silver or bronze.

I think my current obsession with curling is the fact that it truly is the only sport that I would have even the narrowest chance of ever being able to compete in, and perhaps make the olympic team...it is silly!
