But, like you, I found it frustrating because I couldn't see what the person was up to....

So I took them off! I think the longest anyone lasted there for me was maybe a week...but probably less....

It can be very helpful, though...during times of extreme duress/crisis!

In fact, it is very easy to use. It cleans up stupidity and obnoxiousness. My only regret is it doesn't work in real life.

It is no big deal using ignore. Not all DUers are equally worthy of my liking or tolerance.

The feature comes in handy whenever someone posts a picture thread or LOOK AT ME, I CRAVE ATTENTION thread.

Use it early and often! :D

61. What really gets annoying is having folks on ignore

then coming to the forum to view activities, before signing on, and seeing their threads and feeling that urge to respond. So to respond, you have to sign on and when you sign on, the ignore feature kicks in and you can't find the thread you signed on to respond to in the first place. :freak:

Or if you have like a bunch of people on ignore and they respond in your thread or to a post and others respond to them and a flame war starts but you can't see what the person on ignore said to start the little verbal battle. :crazy:

But all in all, I do so love the ignore feature :D

Mainly I have used it when someone harrasses me via PM, so that they are unable send me any more. Amazing the crap people will say to you via PM that they won't say in public.
