Dear DU Lounge Lizards,
I would like for you to reply to this thread with a post regarding 1) a juxtaposition 2) cosplay 3) pataphysics. I am currently interested in these things and would like to kick them around the lounge a bit. Who here is jiggy with it? :kick:

did you ever get to hear any Soft Machine?

The clearest audio reference to pataphysics is on their album Volume 2, where singer Robert Wyatt describes the band as "the official orchestra of the College of Pataphysics" in the very first song on the record, appropriately entitled "Pataphysical Introduction, Part 1." I was just listening to it yesterday...

7. well I'm only fringely aware of it

but basically anything bizarre should qualify especially if its a rejection of modernity somehow. I always thought it was lame circular reasoning along the lines of "everyone should be a non-comformist" but thats an admittedly uneducated first blush opinion...:shrug:
