Did some of the olympic footage last night look funny to anyone else?

It looked to me like someone overdid a digital sharpness filter or something. It wasn't really noticeable until we were treated to an image consisting primarily of bright whites, such as the skiing stuff (snow everywhere in bright daylight). Then the exaggerated sharpness filter (or whatever it was) started to look really bizarre. Like someone ran the images through a "find edges" filter with mild posterization or something.

Am I the only one who noticed this?
