4. That's a damn shame - the GT is a nice car
I mean, if I were that rich, I still wouldn't get one, but for those that like that kind of thing, it is a nice specimen.

6. Is that a Mustang GT? OR some other car GT?
Or does Ford actually make a car that's just called a "GT"? And if the latter, what the fuck is wrong with Ford that they'd name a car a "GT"?

7. The new Ford GT is an homage to their GT 40
which was developed as a racing car in the 60's. It won the 1968 Le Mans.

16. I love Jacky and Vanina! Jacky was my young girl race car fan crush!
Jacky is the BEST spots car driver ever! Vanina revs many engines I'm sure! Check out the links I've posted to the Ickx website (in this thread).

Jacky ROCKS!

I met Danny Ongais and Lyn St. James at Sebring in 1978. My dad and I drove down in our 1978 red Porsche 928! HOT! Danny took time to talk with me a take a picture! I saw Bruce Jenner too! He raced that year. We got pit box seats (by total chance) with Ted Field's (Marshall Field Dept Store heir and he was there and we chatted with him on the top of the pit box!) and watched danny's black Porsche belch flames into the night as he screamed out onto the course! I saw Paul Newman at Road Atlanta too!

18. Saw Jacky win the 76 Le Mans
Used to go to the races in Watkins Glen back then too. My friend got a picture of Newman changing out of his Nomex as we walked past his trailer. I had an F1 tire as a table back in college.

My expereince at Sebring 1978 was great! It was my first sports car race! I've attended Road Atlanta races too! That's where I saw Newman. He's tiny! My dad got to ride in a Porsche 917 at the Porsche factory racetrack in Stuttgart, Germany!

But there's an old showroom near here that's been empty for 10 years that I'd LOVE to see someone turn into a dance studio or something...

Here's a pic of it:

13. Shouldn't this be labeled "domestic terrorism" somehow?
I mean, an individual experiences displeasure with an act or practice, and thusly burns the offending place down. Isn't that what it's called nowadays, domestic terrorism?

20. I will never buy Ford again. They deliberately make it
hard/impossible to do your own repair work. They also deliberately design parts of the car badly.
