Why was Desperate Housweives a rerun last night?
It seems as if this particular program has more mid-season interruptions than any other. We'll get 4 or 5 new episodes, followed by 3 weeks of reruns and a special "catch up" episode. What's the deal?

5. AMEN !!! and a reason why people eventually lose interest in shows
ALL the "good ones" do this.. It's like they reward you for being faithful by tossing you a new one every so often, and in between they rerun shows. What I do is, I remove that show from my PVR timer list, and then I forget to put it back on and after a few missed NEW shows,(which you cannot predict these days) I lose interest entirely.

I long for the good ole days when you got a straight run-thru of all the new stuff and then a re-run season in the summer so you could watch a show you might have missed in the fall or could catch up on a show you never even watched..

They already eat up a lot of time before every new episode doing a "catch-you-up-on-what-happened" and with all the commercials you only get about 30 minutes of "show"..

It's why I love PBS series and HBO/Showtime,.,.that and you can catch repeats all throughout the week at different times.

Network tv is shooting itself in the foot.

3. This is why I seem to be losing interest in this and Lost
I'm not much of a regular viewer of network tv shows because as soon as the show gets interesting they go right into repeats. After years of watching HBO's programming I like how they'll show the entire season all at once with maybe a week break sometime during that time period. Sure, I've had to wait over a year for the Sopranos to return but at least when it does the episodes are all show together week after week before they start doing repeats.

I haven't quite given up on Lost, but I can't be bothered to rush on on Sunday nights just to find out whether Desparate Housewives is a repeat or not. I'm figuring the DVDs for Season #2 will be released right before the start of the 3rd season and I'll rent the DVDs and watch the entire season all together at once

6. I use my PVR to catch a season's worth and then watch them in order
I wrote deadwood off as a western, but recorded it anyway (I have a 90 hr pvr).. One lazy Saturday I watched episodes 1-5 and was HOOKED... I figured if I hated episode one, I could just delete them all.. I do that with a lot of shows.. I have about 8 episodes of House..and have yet to watch any of them:)

7. They were at the SAG awards
they couldn't be on their channel at the same time unless it was a show about them going to the SAG awards
