The New World (no spoiler), a kaleidoscopic, koyaanasquatsi-esque...
http://www.thenewworldmovie.com display of paced cinematic poetry laced round Horner's exquisite soundtrack, and Malick's grand sense of artisan & collaboration; panoramic, pastoral, hypnotic, beautiful, and sad in it's sweep of what still passes for 'nation building' = a foray of indentured individuals with crooked teeth spitting on their own lips in the process of oppressing the noble inhabitants of another land while unable to fend truly for themselves; to be followed by the bejeweled, the embroidered, and the detailed 'aristocracy' peering down their noses onto prince & princess alike...we liked it

5. Koyaanisqatsi - dude, you're the perfectly balanced one.
Check it out! One of the most brilliant movies, and brilliant soundtracks, ever done.

I've seen it performed live a number of times; always amazing.

Film by Godfrey Reggio, music by Philip Glass.

You have heard some of the music on commercials; and have seen some of the footage on commercials.

They then did two other movies, Powaqaatsi and Naqoyqatsi.

8. Especially since you are the perfectly balanced one.
And no, I'm not making fun of you.

Check out:

And if you are into drugs, it's also a good one for that. Though I find it more pleasurable without the drugs, because it's so amazing, but the first time I saw it I was totally fucking stoned off my ass.

11. That's a great one - I was disappointed the first time I saw it,
but over the years I've come to love it more and more. And, i think, as I've gotten older, I've gained enough experience to understand it more. Koyaanisqatsi and its technological and environmental apocalypticism was easy for this college guy; powaqqatsi was a too much out of my experience range to have any real emotional resonance.
