Need help from a Sopranos fan
I just rented the 3rd season DVD 1. The 4th ep is called Employee Of The Month. In it, Melfi is raped by a man who turns out to be EotM at a local fast food eatery. Also, Janice steals Svetlana's leg, and the Russian mob comes and beats up Janice and gets the leg back. 5 minutes from the end of the ep, Tony is telling Janice how he has to avenge her beating. Then, ... the defective DVD I rented stops and will go no further :grr:

Did Tony fire back at the Russians in that ep? At the Employee Of The Month?

2. I don't remember what happened to the Russians, but Melfi
did not tell Tony about the rape.

3. *spoilers!!!!*
Tony and Furio beat the guy who hit Janice - he ends up thrown through a display window at some store.

Melfi doesn't tell Tony what happened but knows perfectly well that he'd snuff the guy if she told him. You missed a few great scenes with Lorraine Brocco :-(

Damn defective DVD's!

5. Speaking of Furio
I was watching a NYPD Blue rerun from a couple years ago, and Furio was one of the suspects in a series of murders. He was neatly groomed and spoke with a NY accent - no pony tail and no Italian accent at all. Hardly recognizable.

6. Going on memory...
(and this is a bit sad)

you missed a great scene where Tony and Furio get into the cab with the Russian driver acting like drunken businessmen. He asks them "where do you want to go Mr. ...?" and Furio says "Smith" in his accent. It's one of my favorite little Furio moments.

Then later on there's a news report that shows the Russian lying under a Christmas display window.

Melfi bursts into tears in front of Tony when he asks if he can walk her to her car. He asks if he can do anything to help and she shouts "No!" after a second. I think that's the end of the episode.

7. "No" was the last word, and it cut to end credits, but...
she didn't shout it. She said it firmly and resolutely.

She knew at that moment that she had absolute power over the rapist's future. She made her decision.
