what can i do to stop capsules from getting stuck in my throat?

Coat them with butter....seriously. I know it sounds gross, but it works.

I am an RN and when we had to dispense caps or pills that people had a hard time getting down, we just smeared some butter around the capsule.

trying to swallow capsules. Seriously, a small piece of bread usually works, follwed by a bit more water.

When you put a capsule in your mouth, put it in lengthwise - hopefully it will go all the way down that way.

14. As an alternative, and this worked great for my little sis when she was

in the hospital . . .

Take a mouth full of water, insert the pill and tilt your head forward then swallow. The water will float the capsule up to your throat and make it easier to swallow.
