CONFESS!!! What CD would I be SHOCKED to find in your collection?
(or vinyl or cassette or 8-track)

I would probably have to say the oddest one in my current collection would be a tie between the following:

Bay City Roller's Greatest Hits
And the bizarre concept that I actually have THREE KC & the Sunshine Band CDs (I mean one isn't that unexpected but THREE? What the hell could I find that I need three different KCATSB CDs for??!!)

1. I still have all my CDs from the '80's, so I have
Many CDs from the likes of...

Poison (yes!)
Great White
Def Leppard
Slaughter (pronounced "slaff-ter" in my house)
Warrant
White Lion
and, yes...

Stryper

Kill me.

2. I have a Poison CD too but that's because I forgot to return the card
and trust me, even if it's the worst CD that I can't believe I bought I still keep the thing (which means yes, I still have Vanilla Ice's first album on cassette)

8. BTW, you're officially sick!!
Edited on Tue Jan-17-06 10:02 PM by LynneSin
I won't buy anything that is a Led Zeppelin remake (not that there are many out there). I'm too much of a purist. I don't want to hear someone like Justin Timberlake or Scott Stapp crooning about "You can squeeze my lemon til the juice runs down my legs"

:puke:

Edit note, I do have one CD with a LZ cover and that's Nirvana's "Sliver" which has heartbreaker on it. But the CD is a recording of home demos put together in attempt to still make money off Nirvana even though Kurt Cobain has been gone for 10 years. However, I love Nirvana and the CD is quite amusing to listen to!

23. I was yankin' yer chain
Trying to push the envelope, as it were.

Let's face it... Zappa's brilliance and Dion's artlessness will never meet anywhere but in the twisted imagination of this thread. :-)

To clarify: I was KIDDING. I look for any excuse to post a Zappa lyric. :P

7. I have Kraftwerks 'Autobahn' album on 8-track.
Oddly enough, I have a friend who has a 'project'
sitting in his garage: A 1970s BMW motorcycle
with a FACTORY-INSTALLED 8-track player.

I told him that the tape is his, the moment he gets that bike back on the road.

20. DH's 80's CD collection
Edited on Tue Jan-17-06 10:30 PM by JulieRB
features such deathless talent as Paula Abdul and Pebbles. I'm thinking those CD's might mysteriously vanish into the garage during one of his upcoming business trips since I know for a fact he hasn't listened to them in the past 13 years. :woohoo:

My CD collection? We have several hundred CD's between us, but the one that would make some of the music aficionados here run screaming with their hair on fire: John Tesh's Christmas CD. I also have Hildegard Von Bingen, an abbess at the turn of the last millennium. Her works are sung by a group called Anonymous 4. Very ethereal; very much an acquired taste.

Julie
Hildegard Von Bingen lived in the year 1000, not the year 1900...

52. I have a BBC recording of someone...
reciting Oliver Goldsmith's "The Deserted Village."

"SWEET AUBURN! loveliest village of the plain,
Where health and plenty cheer'd the labouring swain,
Where smiling spring its earliest visit paid,
And parting summer's lingering blooms delay'd:
Dear lovely bowers of innocence and ease,
Seats of my youth, when every sport could please,
How often have I loiter'd o'er thy green,
Where humble happiness endear'd each scene;
How often have I paus'd on every charm,
The shelter'd cot, the cultivated farm,
The never-failing brook, the busy mill,
The decent church that topp'd the neighbouring hill,
The hawthorn bush, with seats beneath the shade"

Swear to God, if you're ever having a party that's getting out of hand, put this bad boy on the turntable and the place will be cleared out in minutes.

Far as I know, it's not available on CD.
