does exercise before alcohol make inebriation occur more easily?
thanks for the help. I was stunned after getting buzzed off of only 3 beers last night, but I think it may have had to do with my 3 mile run and intense workout earlier in the day, and the fact that beer was my supper (I hadn't had anything to eat since lunch.)

3. It is the empty stomach that will do it to you, not the exercise.
Food slows down the absorption of alcohol into the bloodstream. Same thing when you take any kind of medication. I can get very buzzed on a single beer if I have an empty stomach, and very little if I am having a beer with food.

6. an empty stomach and a lack of fluids
not eating anything will definitely make inebriation occur more easily, and if you were slightly dehydrated from the exercise, that also might have an impact (unfortunately, dehydration will also increase hangover effects :()
