Will and Grace has become simply dreadful

I haven't watched this show in a time and am just amazed. Total mess. Supposed physical commedy. Lame insult jokes. Amd a gimmick (it was live). Has any show gone from the heights they were once at to such depths?

1. I watched the first few minutes tonight, and had the same reaction

and I haven't seen it in a long time, either. I'm glad to hear that it was being done live - that was one of my thoughts, "Are they doing this live in front of real people, because they seem totally out of their league trying to act this way". It felt like it was live to me.

And it was awful.

I've seen old reruns, and some of them are hilarious!

2. It has occassional highs, but is usually very shrill now.

I loved Will & Grace (especially the episode with Matt Damon - who can really sing), but it's usually unwatchable now. Karen's voice is shriller than ever. In fact, it seems that the writers have been replaced with vocal coaches, coaxing Ms. Mullally to greater heights of squeek.

4. That was a good episode

The one where Jack comes out to his mother was probably my favorite. Both funny and touching.

It is so sad to see a one great show turned into crap.

I remember how funny it was when I was in high school. At least the old reruns are still on.

That's probably the reason the writting and acting has been so hit and miss.
