Anyone else get really annoyed by recorded phone calls?

I answer phones where I work a lot and I swear that I must get on average at least two or three a day.

I mean it's bad enough that telemarketers call your business but to use a fucking machine instead of having a person actually talk to you? :grr:

The same bank calls me every night about my mortgage. I don't have a mortgage, or any other account with them. When I stayed on the line to fix this mistake, they demanded my social security number, so I could prove I didn't have an account with them. :wtf:

Do people really listen to those recorded pitches and, worse, buy into them? :wtf:

What I hate even worse is when a real person calls and asks me to listen to an "important" (recorded) message. Do they really think I'm that stupid?:dunce:
