My Brother tells me the Santa Anas are blowing...Our CA DUers need to be
kept calm. Keep them in your thoughts...:scared: Still, I'd rather be there-going crazy mad- than here where the weather bites at your nose and freezes your tootsies so that you can't even get a good annoyed on. :hi:

1. Santa Anas are nice, they are a heat wave this time of year
and the area should be so wet from recent rains that there is little fire danger. ( from what I can tell on the East Coast, of course) Good time to go to the beach.

9. I moved to MD ten years ago, and I still miss CA, of course
Compare summer in Maryland to summer in California. During a Santa Ana, humidity drops to about 5%! Usually, it is about 40% or so in the LA basin. 99% here on some summer days. I like weeks of sunny 80 degree weather in January.

13. CA summers, I'll take any day. But I'll take a whole MD summer against
just one week of Santa Anas. Different likes, I guess. :hi: kwassa! Who do you like for governor?

15. Hmm... I've never experienced Michigan weather.
I've never been to Michigan. But I have sung "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" about 900 times. Today's non sequitur has been brought to you by Canadian folk singer Gordon Lightfoot. :wtf: :hi: Nice house. ;)

2. It is EXTREMELY windy where I am
I am northwest of L.A. right now, and it is fierce! The air is cleared up right now, so it is BEAUTIFUL. I had breakfast with a panoramic view of the Santa Monica Mountains and the lights of the valley below. :hi: :donut:

5. Good morning to you, my dear MrsGrumpy!
Calm? What in hell makes you think we need to be kept calm? Grrrrr...... J/K! The Santa Ana winds make for beautiful clear skies over LA, and they also contribute enormously to the wonderful sunsets! We are MUCH more likely to be crazy due to the traffic..... :loveya:

6. I love the Santa Anas this time of year
The mountains are covered in snow, the air is warm and skies are clear. It's also going to be near 80 here today :-).

Dry warm wind that drives the fires.
