1. Santa Anas are nice, they are a heat wave this time of year

and the area should be so wet from recent rains that there is little fire danger. ( from what I can tell on the East Coast, of course)

Compare summer in Maryland to summer in California.

During a Santa Ana, humidity drops to about 5%! Usually, it is about 40% or so in the LA basin. 99% here on some summer days.

I like weeks of sunny 80 degree weather in January.

2. It is EXTREMELY windy where I am
