Why on earth did anyone enjoy ALW's "Cats"????
I admit I had a girlfriend who was in the SF production of Cats. That means I had to see this piece of shit maybe 4 or 5 times more than I had to or was supposed to.

Good Gawd! If I ever hear "Memory" again I will go on a killing spree...and that's exactly what's on hold music right now...

2. I don't know.
I never saw it, so I'm not in a position to judge, but it never appealed to me.

4. I don't understand Weber's appeal at all, actually.
I suppose it's "hi-brow for the masses", or something.

I don't 'get' Sarah Brightman, either.

5. A jellicle cat is a wonderful cat
Jellicle Cats come out tonight
Jellicle cats come one, come all
The Jellicle Moon is shining bright
Jellicles come to the Jellicle Ball

Jellicle Cats come out tonight
Jellicles come to the Jellicle Ball

Jellicle cats come out tonight
Jellicle cats come one, come all
The Jellicle Moon is shining bright
Jellicles come to the Jellicle Ball

Jellicle Cats come out tonight
Jellicle cats come one, come all
The Jellicle Moon is shining bright
Jellicles come to the Jellicle Ball

Jellicle Cats meet once a year
At the Jellicle Ball
Where we all rejoice!
And the Jellicle leader will soon appear
And make what is known as the Jellcle Choice
When Old Deuteronomy, just before dawn
Through a silence you feel you could cut with a knife
Announces the Cat who can now be reborn
And come back to a different Jellicle life
For waiting up there is the Heaviside Layer
With wonders one Jellicle only will see
And Jellicles ask, Because Jellicles dare:

"Who will it be?"

7. I thought it sucked, too.
And I saw it at a time in my life when I was NOT critical of stuff like that. Plus, I LOOOOOVE real cats. You know, kitties. But that musical stank like dog breath.

8. For the same reason that ....

American Idol and Desparate Housewives are top rated TV shows while Arrested Development is about to go away...

Jay Leno has higher ratings than David Letterman

For the same reason my Mom voted for Bush the first time around - many many people do not like things that are too "smart"

Because there wasn't anything else to do???

9. My aunt took me to the travelling show of CATS when I was about 6
The part when they come out of the audience ( well they did at my show ) and purr and touch the audience , I wanted to scream . Even to this day when I see anything related to ALW's CATS , I shudder .
