I just made the best Christmas cookies of my LIFE!
Mom's good ol' sugar cookie recipe never fails, and it's made especially scrumptious with the use of a convection oven. Want some? Come on over!

14. I suck at rolled out cookies. I make great cookie dough
though.. mostly I prefer to eat the dough.

I do much better with the drop kind, brownies or really good cakes.

I suck at pie crust too, it has to be rolled out.

how are you anyway?

12. Okay, here goes:
Sift together in small bowl and reserve:
2¾ cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt

In large bowl, put:
¾ cup soft butter or margarine

Add to butter/margarine:
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract

Beat with mixer until light and fluffy. Then beat in flour mixture, blending until smooth. Chill 1 hour or until firm. Roll small amount of dough at a time on floured board to 1/8" thickness. Keep remaining dough in refrigerator until ready to use. Cut with cookie cutters. Place on greased cookie sheets and bake in preheated oven at 375° for 8-10 minutes or until pale brown. Cool & decorate to your taste.

This recipe says it makes 48 cookies, but with careful conservation of dough I came out with 57.

Enjoy!
