it's been one year since i've had fast food
Some of you might remember this---or not---i understand you have other things going on in your lives.:D Anyhow last December 15th my daughter and i watched "Supersize me" and yes we already new FF wasn't the best thing to eat but it was the extras on the DVD that really hit home, the interview with Eric Schlosser author of "Fast Food Nation" when he talked about corporate farming, yuck. The best thing about watching that dvd was it got me thinking a lot about what we ate, not just fast food but processed food as well and we've made some big changes in our eating habits. The end result is i've 62 pounds, my daughter lost about 10 and even my husband lost some weight as well.

2. Good for you!
That's really excellent news. I'm still working on my husband and family -- even after seeing the show, they still want their Chicken Nuggets and so-forth.

4.  I know someone who just gave up frenchfries
sounds like only one thing but she lost a lot of weight and really looks good.

I mentioned this to my wife last week. Recently, with the baby, we have been getting lazy and grabbing whatever and eating it. My main concern was my getting way out of shape (from just a few months ago) and her breastfeeding. We decided to make the extra effort to eat real food.

Good for you.

When I was running and really working out I used to just think about any FF and laugh...then I got lazy. Thanks for the heads up. Time to knock it off.

7. We went through a similiar thing. we moved twice and we were so busy
that going through the drive up window made things so much easier, thankfully things finally calmed down and had a little more time to plan meals.

5. You are a new hero of mine!!!
I am merely on day 46 of no fast food. I have lost 8 pounds. I also stopped drinking soda, so that's part of it too. I had gotten to a point where I was eating fast food AT LEAST once per day! I'm away from home 10-14 hours per day, so it just got too easy to "drive-thru".

Congratulations and good luck! You and your family are an inspiration.

8. Congrats
I was working on three months but sadly an early morning exam had me stopping to get me a quick meal at a nearby Hardees. . . .

Put it this way after three months of not having that garbage in my system and just all of a sudden plopping it in there . . . my stomach pretty much hated me for the rest of the day . . . seriously I didn't feel good at all.

In anycase the past three months that has been my only adventure into fast food . . . hope to keep it up.

9. Good for you!
It's also good to remember that most fast-food places are beholden to the Republicans and/or Christian nutjobs. It's especially true here in Southern California, home of Carl's Jr. (Republican) and In-N-Out (Christian nutjob).
