Why did RATM break up?
I heard today that it was because the lead singer was to political so the band members replaced him with Chris Cornell and formed Audioslave but I think thats BS and I was gonna call the guy out on it today but I wasn't positive... am I right?

1. More of a personality clash
Zack de la Rocha and Tom Morello got along about as well as Lennon and McCartney by the end. It wasn't the politics, it was the personalities.

3. Audioslave = Soundgarden Frontman + RATM Band
I just bought Audioslave's DVD "Live in Cuba" and both of their CDs. Although I enjoyed RATM music I wasn't that deep into them nor was I with Soundgarden. But I tend to pick up new bands after they've been out for awhile and then start buying all their older stuff including works in other bands.
