Thanks to all who gave me good thoughts/vibes/prayers, etc.. update
I went to the neuro-opthamologist today. He didnt feel that I needed a MRI or additional testing. What he said I have was Physiological Anisicoria. Everything looks good in and behind my eyes and no reason for concern. He did add that if it gets worse that I need to go back. He said that it can happen to women in their 20's (i'm 24) for no apparent reason. My 2 year old has the same thing going on with her pupils.

Got some bad news today.. I tested positive for C-diff (C. Difficile Colitis) for the 3rd time. Back on the Vancomyicn for another 2 weeks. This is the reason I've been getting bad muscle cramps again. ARGH. Going to see an infectious disease doctor on tuesday - my GI has no idea what to do next. I will NEVER take another antibiotic AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So could someone please send me some healing powers towards me please? I've had enough of this. I have 3 kids - one 4 months old and by 6pm I'm ready for bed.

3. Thank you :) So do I...
It sucks being sick and having 3 kids under 4 to take care of. I'm pooped 24/7 and I feel bad because I cant be the way I was before I got this. I know I'll eventually be the same way again but I'm just too tired to get off the couch.

2. Sending good vibes your way.
You are much too young to have these types of medical problems.

But antibiotics are not all bad. I have had tooth problems for the past 10 years and if it wasn't for tetracycline, I would have had to have all my teeth pulled 5 years ago. At this time, the tetracycline is just prolonging the inevitable.

But I hope you will be OK and the doctor you see on Tuesday will be able to help. You have your 2 kids to worry about, so think healing thoughts.

6. They're not all bad.. but when overprescribed it becomes a problem.
I had my son in august... I was given erythomycin for my mitral valve, then in sept I came down with a upper respiratory infection and was given z-pack. In October I came down with bronchitis and given a strong cephlasporin and it wiped out all my good bacteria in my gut and let the bad guys take over and I came down with c-diff.

Antibiotics can be good in certain conditions but now I know to ask for cultures and not to take them unless I have something bacterial - which bronchitis usually is NOT.

I know i'll get over this, its a matter of time and patience. The first 2 rounds of drugs didnt do anything so now its on to a bigger doc and more probiotics to get rid of this beast.

4. Sorry to hear that.
I hope this round of medicine will help you out. Do you have any friends that could come by and help with the kids?

7. My mom lives a road down but she has a lot on her plate right now
and she does help me some. Then the 2 older kids go to their father on Sundays so I have a little time off. Gives me time to relax and sleep since thats all the baby does all day :)

9. I did! I'm happy he doesnt think its anything serious.
I told him I thought it was a brain tumor and he cracked up at me. He said that he would've seen more obvious signs and I have none of them. Hes a doc at a major institution in Pittsburgh so I'm pretty confident in him. The residents that he had with him were absolutely amazed at my congenital cataract.. they kept looking at it and blinding me with that slit lamp :)

I should start feeling better in a few days on this antibiotic. I hope I can kick it this time.. they warned me it could be a bugger to get rid of.

8. Ugh - so sorry about the C. diff.
Been there, not fun. You have my sympathy. I haven't taken antibiotics for a long time because of it.

Take care.

10. Its a lonely disease..
No one REALLY understands unless they experienced c-diff. My hubby doesnt get it.. he doesnt understand why the house is a mess when he gets home and why we're eating chicken nuggets or pizza for dinner. I just have no energy left!!

How long did it take you to get rid of it? I've been dealing with this since October.

11. I was hospitalized with it.
I think it took about two months, to be honest. I was on that awful drug to treat it. Yeah, it was really terrible. In that year I had pneumonia and a kidney infection, which was why I was on so many antibiotics.

Must be really hard with a family to care for - all I wanted to do was just lie down all the time. I feel for you.

12. Flagyl?
I couldnt take more than 10 days of that stuff before they switched me to Vanco. I was hospitalized one day due to dehydration and I was in the isolation room. I had a little old lady next to me that I felt so bad for who also had c-diff. They had her on Flagyl and for the life of me I couldnt figure out why she was sleeping all day and all night.. then I heard them mention Flagyl and I was like IC!!

I do want to lay down and sleep.. I have to push myself to do much of anything. I get slack all the time about sitting on my hiney and leaving my house a mess. I feel great on the meds, but 5 days after I stop taking it I feel like crap again.

 I hope you dont get it again, I heard that us who had it before are more susceptiable to it with ANY antibiotic later on. :(

13. Yes, that horrid stuff!! I couldn't recall the name.
:puke:

Ugh - it was all just ghastly. It was almost six years ago yet I remember it like yesterday. Yeah, we do have to be careful about getting it again. I can't even bear to think of it, actually. :scared:
