1. #2
The yellow chords are less distracting from the whole picture in #2

2. Interesting
The tubes in the second option tend to lead to nowhere, so I have to vote for 1

3. # 2
The two legs in the rear seem to give the picture more depth.

4. the shading on the first one is better (and more realistic)
but the back legs on the second one, and the leg cowls on the front, are a better design idea.

5. Ok - opinion seems to agree with you. #2 has better depth and #1 has
better realism (and I think dynamism).

Back to the tablet!

Thanks.

Then I have to create the environment through which this thing is moving

8. #2
I like:

the socketed connections for the legs/the blue bearings
the rear feet showing
the smaller, seemingly more agile and articulate feet

10. #1 looks more dynamic and action-oriented
Because of the position of the "legs." It has more energy than the second one, which looks like it's resting.

it doesn't have the phallic things coming off the bottom like #2--I think those are distracting

but I do like #2 for the smaller feet or whatever those are

18. I like 2 because of the extra claw's underneath PLUS
Edited on Thu Dec-08-05 11:19 AM by jonnyblitz
the "headlight" looking things that the front two "legs" are coming out of that are absent on the first. i have been looking at these since last night off and on trying to decide which one to pick! I don't know what these things are supposed to be I like them. I like the color choices, too! good stuff...

The size of the sphere looks more in proportion to the legs. The sockets that the legs attach to give me an impression of there being more to this machine inside the sphere. The upper one seeems to have the legs attached to the sphere rather than them being a part of the whole.

gives more definition to the legs and underbelly, and makes it look more interesting.

33. you are an amazing artist!
I like #2 better. It really looks like it could move. But having said that, it also looks like it could do more damage. #1 looks more innocent to me - like it could just float around and gently bump into things.

Keep it up and keep sharing!

39. oooh, hard. 1) more organic, sans screws 2) more mecha
if this was supposed to be a mechanized thing, i'd say 2. the cleaned up wiring makes more organized sense. also the holes for the legs to come out of also give a more logic based, mechanized feel.

if this was supposed to be a biotech device, more along the lines of lovecraftian mythos and assorted monster madness, i'd definitely say 1. the tubing is crazy enough in that one to take it more along the organic, geiger/cthulhu-esque angle. objects would flow more seemless into the other, even though they'd be a bit chaotic; kinda like vestigial remnants from evolution or something.
