I've the name of the poem and its author at a friend's home.

The poem deals with aging and our goals in life... with the final two lines being very provocative regarding the inanity of our quest.

I will try to remember and put it up tomorrow.

3. Oy. That is a pretty broad search.

OK, shot in the dark (bad pun)--it couldn't be "When I Consider How My Light is Spent," could it? I guess even "Ozymandius" would fit that theme.
