Narnia led me astray! (warning:sad)
So there I was, sitting in ecology class, when the teacher said something about beavers eating plants.

I said I thought they ate fish.

He said, no, they eat plants.

I swore up and down I read somewhere they ate fish.

PUBLICLY.

You know where I got that shit from?

Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

:grr:

1. I remember reading that, too.
At that point, the story lost all credibility for me.

3. You gave credibility to a story with a talking lion?!?!?
It's FICTION! :P

4. Talking lions is one thing.
But spreading misinformation about a rodent's diet? By golly, that's a different ballgame altogether, my friend. ;)

5. Maybe C.S. was thinking of otters?
Edited on Tue Dec-06-05 01:49 AM by alphafemale
Come to think of it...

Do even otters eat fish?

Or are they strictly Abalone-oveurs?

6. Well for me Turkish Delight was a disappointment.
Reading that passage, I imagined that Turkish Delight must be the most exotic, greatest treat ever.

Baaklava may be worth selling your soul for though.

12. I bought some once and thought it tasted like
old fashioned hair oil, Vitalis or something. Not my fave delicacy obviously. Their version of Turkish delights must have had opium or coke in it.

10. We bought it in Turkey, and gave it to everyone on the tour bus.
Nobody refused it.

Everyone enjoyed it.

Maybe there are different recipes? I have no clue, but I loved it. Had to keep myself from eating a whole box when we got home...
