To what extent do you bicycle?
I know different areas have different options, but I wanted to see who uses most or all options available to them.

Our area has several bike paths and an "Ice Age Trail" that are good for biking. I bike upwards of twenty miles a day when the weather gets nice- taking one trail to the next all the way downtown and back.

Your turn.

1. Fair weather biker
Just can't get motivated to go out when it's cold. I was biking a few days a week to work this summer. I need to go between two offices a lot so I can't do it every day. It's only 9 miles to work but the first 3 miles a so dangerous I put the bike on a bus.

3. I don't remember the last time I rode a bike.
I'd like to have a nice mountain bike to ride though. Always loved them.

4. I consider myself a cyclist of sorts. I'ma roadie girl, myself.
That means road bike, as opposed to a mountain bike. I had a head injury from a fall in August, however, so I haven't ridden since then. Concussion. Hit my right temple against a curb. Cracked my helmet. It saved my life, seriously.

I am damn lucky to be here.

:hi:

Anyway, I want to have some company for the first ride I take since my accident. Now that my obligatory two months off the bike has passed, and I've gotten the all-clear to ride again, it's just a matter of time.

Of course, now it's raining. Sigh.

5. my bicycling is now functional
I used to go on long distance pleasure rides, and might if there were trails around here. I feel like the roads are too narrow and busy around here, compared to what I got used to in Wisconsin and SD. But now that I am further south, I can bike to work and to grocery stores and other shopping/errands all year around.

6. I try to get as many of my errands as I can done on my bike.
Now that I've got a decent trailer for LeftyKid I should be doing better about that, as soon as the weather clears up a bit, I'm really not equipped to ride in the rain, clothes-wise or bike-wise (I need to get fenders put on.)
