Beautiful foggy, drizzly day here on the mountain.
I love this kind of weather on the mountain. It is about 48-degrees F with heavy mist. The visibility is only a few hundred feet in the fog. Everything is close. One feels intimate with that which can be seen. The forest ends in a dull gray curtain. Fallen leaves are soft underfoot. Other sounds are attenuated too. Nick-Nick and I took a walk down to the waterfall a little while ago. It was dark and wet down in the gorge.

The visibility has decreased since I took this picture 30 minutes ago. Now I can barely see the curve in my driveway.

3. I am so envious. I love the mountains.
I live in North Georgia, but have to visit my sister in Ellijay in order to enjoy the mountains. Or I could just travel to Kennesaw Mountain a few miles from me for a mountain experience.
