Does Everyone Get Friday off after Thanksgiving??
My company is giving us Black Friday off for the 2nd year in a row. I guess so we can all spend time with family and friends, but the office is open on Saturday. I work in a Call Center and it is open Monday through Saturday. It would be great if it was closed on Saturday for those people, too. Anyway, I thought I would try to see how many more people have the day off (with pay of course).

5. I have off on friday...
but the employees in our stores have to work, which I don't really think is fair.

I think everyone should have a four day weekend for Thanksgiving.

I know it will never happen...

7. I have always had it off
H has too (when he was not at sea), but his new company doesn't give it off. I always sat at home that day anyway, so I think I will just give the house a good cleaning.

14. Yep. Even those folks at the sales events of the year.
That explains why each year millions of consumers return home crying,"We wanted to buy but nobody showed up to take our money."

18. Four day weekend for us.
So I'm excused from the Thursday and Friday deadlines. The folk in the UK office will have to shoulder them.

19. I have Friday off ...
Although oddly enough, I might come in. It's the only time I have to do certain things, like reboot some of the servers and stuff.

21. I don't have Thanksgiving *or* Friday off
Due to the nature of my jobs (human services) staff are needed 7 days a week, 365 days a year . In fact, on holidays the clients stay home from their day programs, so more staff coverage is needed.
