I tried to explain how one can support the troops but not their mission, but I know that some of you folks are more eloquent than I can ever hope to be, so have at it.

They just make up shit. :shrug: Many people who are against the war have children or spouses or loved ones there. Are they against the troops. Hell no! The troops are there on orders. They are doing what they have to do whether they like it or not.

For stating that Democratic criticism of the Bush administration and its shaky grounds for war is the same as taking a swipe at men and women in uniform.

The best support we can give the troops is to bring them home safely now!

That said, I can love and support the troops without agreeing with and loving their mission. Yes they signed up to serve, but most of them have absolutely no say in what they are doing over there. The current administration drives what they do, and the current administration fraudulently started the war in the first place.
