Good Tuesday Morning, Everyone!
:donut::hi:
How are ya doing? I had the past two days off and let me just say, days off go by too damned quickly. x( I went to the Mazda dealership yesterday to look at new cars (I have a Miata). Have you seen the 2006 Mazda 3's? They are freakin AWESOME! I test drove one. LOVED it! Went inside with the saleman, who by the way was great to work with, had the paper in my hand to sign...all I had to do was sign it and I would have owned the car...and couldn't bring myself to do it! My Miata is paid for and I just couldn't decide it was OK for me to be into car payments again.

I wish someone had been there with me to just say: "It's OK, Clint. The car will last you forever and is an investment." If someone, other than the salesman, had said those words to me, I would have a brand new car today. I'm so indecisive somtimes.

1. You incorrigible tease!
You made that poor salesman think you were going all the way with him, just to withdraw at the last moment! He must be so let down. :rofl:

Hi clint! :hi:

3. Good morning Clint!
So you just couldn't bring yourself to go all the way with the car salesman, eh? I understand that--plunking down $15k or more is a big commitment. I'm dreading the day I have to go car shopping again.

Otherwise, how is life?

You doing OK today?

But I don't have any leave time coming up for a while so it's 7 days a week until probably some time in January :-(. Penalty for being evil I guess :rofl:.

18. I used up all of my days off in October
Now I have nothing for the rest of the year. I may be able to haggle a day or two at one job--if I can find the coverage. However that will be it. I so look forward to the day I can live on just one job and do away with this crap.

34. There's many factors to consider.
If there would be any significant saving in fuel consumption that would definitely be a plus point - as well isn't buying a vast new car every 6 months an essential part of American consumerism????

I suppose that in the end it all depends on how much outlay it would require, and what that would involve giving up elsewhere - think not of the monthly payments in terms of dollars, but in terms of bottles of wine, D.V.D.s, or whatever other things you'd be buying.

21. Good morning, Clint!
:hi: How's it going? Sorry about the car drama. I wrestled with a decision about a new pair of shoes but I gave in and got them. It wasn't as big a commitment as a car and once you finish paying for the car you have it does seem crazy to sign on to a new monthly expense. But you are left thinking about what might have been.

It's very alluring. What are you driving now? We bought a new car almost a year ago. The first time with a NEW car. We were driving paid-for but reliable buckets of bolts. Since we got the new one, the other one has gone to hells (I think you would say) so we have just sucked it up and gotten used to the payments again.
