Okay, who else is doing NaNoWriMo?

I just passed 20,000 words. I have been writing like a fool since I signed up late (November 7th.) I also told DH that he can't read the finished product, and I'm deleting it as soon as it's done. (I thought I'd try a new genre.)

How's it going for you? Have you come up with a plot yet?

I started at the end. Yes, I thought I wanted to write the end first; I thought I knew where I wanted to go, then I realized I didn't like it. Characters and plot development have come a bit easier (knock on wood.)

6. NaNoWriMo... that's my cousin! We Mo's are very close.

7. My daughters doing it.

This is her second year with it......She sits at the computer pounding away for two hours or so a day. I don't know where she gets her self discipline from.....certainly not from me. Have you been to one of their groups? She went to one last year at the library but she felt a little out of place as she was so much younger than the other folks there.

I haven't been to a group. I do best when I can hide out alone in our home office, crank up Rhapsody, and write, write, write. I wrote most of the day yesterday. DH is being very supportive. He even brought me a caramel Frappucino :woohoo:!

Finally everything has fallen into place, more or less. I finally, after 20k words have a plot, but now I have class work to do. :woohoo:

I'll be writing today. I'm actually hoping to get far enough ahead so that Thanksgiving does not create massive problems with the schedule...;-)

12. I had a plot going in.

I'm over 22,000 words as of tonight, and chugging away. I hope to break 25,000 by the half-way point tomorrow.

My title is Rumpled Trenchcoats and Rubber Bullets, a black comedy about a bunch of kids who plan a Columbine-style school shooting, but are constantly beset by problems. Think of it as "Bang Bang You're Dead" meets "After Hours" or "The Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight."
