1. have to say that we haven't had many interactions...

so here is an introduction: I am a progressive who returned to my red homestate (IN) to be closer to family; a bit wonky (in analyzing news stories) but most folks forgive me for embracing my 'nerdiness'. And you?

I am a progressive who hasn't left my red homestate yet, but I am hoping to remedy that as soon as I get through college. Most don't forgive me here (NC) for being a progressive. They think I am crazy for it, actually.

37. I'm taking a day off from studying and doing

research papers. I've been working way too hard to still possibly get a B this semester in college. I had a 4.0 going into this semester, but if I worked this hard and ended up with a B, I'd spend the rest of my time partying. I am clashing with 2 out of 4 teachers this semester. One has a valid reason for going sort of fast, but the other seems to expect more than I can give. I don't know if you've ever experienced that.

I got my law degree in St. Paul and I understand having to make sense of what it is that the teacher is expecting. And it's a very laudable goal to spend enough time to get the grade you want and spend the rest of the time partying. As they used to say at Bar Exam time: What do you call the person who got the lowest passing grade on the Bar Exam? A lawyer. Sometimes passing is enough.

Today I'm watching the Wisconsin Badgers try to win against Iowa in Barry Alvarez's last home game as Wisconsin coach.

50. I sort of had to do some laundry a little while ago.

My boy cat, Yogi, was running around a playing. He actually gets these wild hairs and runs through the house howling. Well, next thing you know he jumped up on top of the dryer and slid right off to the back side of it. It was just close enough to the wall that he couldn't jump back out without some help. So I moved it out for him and then crawled on top (it's cold too) and helped him out. He's so pitiful. My aunt calls him "mama's boy" because he depends on me to get him out of the stuff he gets himself into.
