There is so much I could say about Will Pitt

The man has been a TRUE Brother and Friend to me.

Tonight, he did the honor of giving me credit for helping in his work. In front of my home crowd.

Now there are way too many people who get successful and, as soon as they're getting big, they forget their friends.

Will is not one of those people.

If you are ever honored with being a friend of Will, know this--the man will never let you down. EVER.

He may rant and rave at you when he's down and out. But stick by his side. Will is one of the few people that I've ever met who lift you up just by standing at his side.

There are a lot of potential "Will Pitts" here on DU. And not all of them are writers.

By that I mean, there are a lot of people who can change the world...and ask you for your help in doing it. Don't hesitate. Check your ego at the door. It's sometimes better to be a "Silent Bob" supporting someone else than to be a frontman.

Remember that when the Silent Bobs of the world talk, the world stops to listen too. Silent Bob ends up coming into his own in the end. So will you too, when the time is right.

Those who are farther along than yourself can help you go farther than you ever thought.

Once again: check your ego at the door.

Everyone here is already a leader. You may not be ready to lead others, and if you aren't, then SUPPORT someone else. You'll be paid back more times than not. Soon your time will come.

Help others and soon you'll find them helping you.

And then soon you'll find people asking to help you.

I hope all this makes sense...it probably doesn't except to the people who were there with me tonight. But if one person understands this msg who wasn't with us tonight in Indy, then I've done my job for the night.
