I am finally going to **try** to get another job....
Edited on Mon Jul-07-03 06:26 PM by Darth_Kitten
I've lost it.

My dumb superintendant lied to me. (not strange behaviour around where I work)

I need to transfer out of that department, even a temporary position elsewhere could do me good.
I'm just TIRED (i'm not the only one there discouraged, etc) of finding out things affecting ME from third parties.

case in point.

I've been doing this other desk at work (coverage) for the last 3 months. I heard through the grapevine(we never hear things we should from supervisors, anyhoo....) the guy who works the desk (badly) is coming back tomorrow. Oh, I say to my head supervisor, was anyone going to tell me? Oh, I told you about a week or so ago that he would be back this week. No, I don't remember that. (she lied. she never told me)
Anyways, MY point is shouldn't people be told about things affecting them, I am caught up on this desk, but I was away a day or two and I want to clean up old stuff, holds, etc. as I don't like to leave any crap for anyone to come back to. I was insistent on being notified. She really didn't comprehend this common courtesy. Ms. Former Human Resources/ Now our Dept's Worst Nightmare asked me did I have "issues" with this, there must be a deeper reason why I was so upset. She said it's not like I'm on your case because you are behind or anything. NO, I know that....it's just considerate. So you are a person with integrity who doesn't want to leave a mess behind. Uh, yeah?????

I'm rambling, but I want a new job. Outta that dept, I've had it with people who cannot understand basic respect and consideration.

3. Good Darth! Me Too!
Yeah listen to this story. There was some ruckus created in or union because of overtime. A bunch of OT went to a couple people and some (basically one guy) thought it was unfair. So he (Being the union VP) comes up to me last week and says, " What's your thoughts on this overtime thing." I was pretty-well unaware and just asked him to fill me in on it. Then I asked him why they were doing things that way. So today, our Union president comes up and asks me why I didn't come to her with my concerns, I was like " what concerns?" It seems I went in to the vp's office with a whole LIST (As in a premade list) of complaints about the situation. I did what had to be done to straighten things out. BUT I MEAN WHAT THE FUCK? This guy scapegoats me (and a couple others) and makes up bullshit because the president wouldn't take him seriously??? I AM PISSED. I confronted him and of course he fed me more BS, at least myself and my co-workers know the truth.

I am looking for a new job to. ( I actually posted this stuff last night)

4. Ah, the old scapegoat trick.
Yup, been there, Hey. :(

I just want a change, and I can understand why you would want one, too. It's hard to put up with this crap, isn't it? :(
