I started the poll because I just went to freeper.com for the first time today, and it hurt my eyes. (I was just trying to be funny.)

I just went to lucian*e.com for the first time, too, and you're right.

Someone posted an editorial with the following sickening quote:
"President Bush is an especially appealing target for their scorn, since he's the least European U.S. president since Andrew Jackson."

I bothers me when I hear this comparison between Bush and Jackson. Jackson was actually a very elloquent speaker, and considered a war hero. (Although he did get this title by killing more Native Americans than anyone thought possible, we are forced to chalk that up to him being a product of his times.) Jackson also fought the powers of corporations of the time and was hugely popular (if I remember my US history). I think Shrub is more closely related to John Q. Adams; son of a rich politician, (literally) stole the presidency...
