Micro$hit f***ing hijacked my browser
OK, I try not to use internet exploder, but I must use it occasionally because my credit union doesn't like firefox. So I open IE for the two minutes that I absolutely must to do my online banking.

My homepage for IE is (was) set to www.truman.edu

Instead, it takes me to the latest "Download our latest spyware through Winblow$ Update!" or some such crap. No thank you. I already have my computer set to notify me of Winblow$ updates so I can decide what's legit and what's Micro$hit spyware.

Or am I just waaaaaaaaaaaaay too paranoid?:tinfoilhat:

1. Are you sure that was a Microsoft site it took you to?
That kind of hijacking is a real common sign of spyware infection.

3. My Win98
used to open the microsoft update page instead of my set homepage every once in a while. Just glitchy I guess. I stopped using IE when I got XP so I don't know if it does it with that OS.

7. I think they do stuff to try and screw up Firefox
I'm convinced they throw shit in their OS to try and break Firefox.

You'd think they'd spend more time perfecting their own stuff intead and maybe people would not switch to alternatives.

I hate them too

8. Used to run Win Me
I think I saw that happen to me at least once a week it felt like.

I made the switch to Apple, and have been using OS X since Feburary. I am much happier and actually like using computers again.

9. hell, that's nothing
they seem to have taken over pretty much all of the applications that I am forced to use every damn day for my job.

You know what would be funny? If everybody in the whole world started hitting the "notify Microsoft" button that pops up whenever a MS application fucks up and crashes...actually, that would probably constitute a d.o.s. attack that would bring down the entire intarwebs...the horror! the horror! I mean, really, does anybody ever "notify Microsoft"? I never do.
