Can't believe what happened at bookstore today..

I was in my local Barnes & Noble (yes, I know, I should support my local independent bookseller, but this was convenient) and I was at the Current Affairs section looking for a few good lefty books to bone up on, and I couldn't find hardly any.

I was shocked! There was Blinded by the Right (already read), a couple of Chomsky's, What Liberal Media by Alterman (which I just finished) and two copies of It Takes A Village. I was hoping for to get Hunting of the President or something, but all I saw was D'nesh D'sousa, Mona Charen, Ann-the-Man Coulter, Trent Lott, O'Really, and just about every left-bashing piece of trash ever put in print. I was working myself up into a steady boil, ready to get the manager out here to read her the riot act, when I noticed: some of the RW books were not alphbetical. Sure enough, there they were... HIDDEN BEHIND THE RW BOOKS!!! SOME FUCKING FREEPER CAME IN AND COVERED ALL THE LEFTIES WITH HATEMONGERS! I was just glad that I caught it on my own, and not after screaming at the management!

3. Hey, you should scream at the management

and write a letter to the head office (is that in the cayman islands?).

And tell them they need to keep their books organized. That's their job. Wouldn't matter if it were comic books out of order.

And if they have customers who hone in on freeper material, then they need to keep a better eye on the freeper section and watch and bust the assholes who are moving the books.

Yeah.....go get 'em.

And go to the independent............ :-)

9. Last week I saw a copy of Al Sharpton's book that had been

damaged by a rightwinger in a bookstore. Someone had scratched a hole in the front of the dust jacket, making the book worth about a dollar.

I think the Freep types are frustrated by having a low intelligence and/or educational level and all they can do is attack. As Dr. Phil says, anger is really an expression of FEAR.

10. Local Books-a-Million

in Charleston area mall-

was in jsut before *'s war began, and one of the main aisle display for the non-fiction section was all right wing, every book on the display. There was no "left" display, no other "political" display at all.

Stading in front of this display, you had a clear view of the three tvs spaced above the magazine section. They were all set to faux news. I left, and haven't been back.

Today though, I was in the local Kmart and saw some glossy flag-draped mag with bush dressed like a fighter pilot, with some headline like "America Protected" or some crap. I flipped them upside down. Upside down American flag, upside down g.w.awol. Couldn't help myself.

11. today at Price Costco

some mental patient had topped off the pile of Hillary's book with Coulter's Treason. I removed them and stacked Hillarys on top of Anns. Silly but satisfying!
