X-Files question
I saw a X-Files featurette in a movie theater (between previews and the feature) several years ago. It was 10-20 minutes long and all the dialogue rhymed like Dr. Seuss.

What did I see? Thanks!

1. It was their Christmas episode...
Edited on Wed Oct-26-05 01:45 AM by Fox Mulder
based somewhat on "How the Grinch Stole Christmas". The episode was titled "How the Ghosts Stole Christmas" and it aired in 1998. I never did see that one.

2. I have that in now
... and there's no rhyming!

This was not a full episode in length, only 10-20 minutes long.

3. The only X-Files related preview I ever saw in *theaters*...
Were promos for the "X Files" feature movie "The X Files: Fight The Future"... Movie reference here - http://www.redwolf.com.au/xfiles/film/movie.html

I don't recall a rhyming verse promo that would make one recall "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" though. They did have a Christmas episode the following season (season 6) titled "How The Ghosts Stole Christmas", the poster mentioned above. Though I don't recall any theatre promotion of said episode, nor did the episode have any Suess references that I recall... Synopsis - http://www.redwolf.com.au/xfiles/season06/6abx08.html

Maybe you saw an ad on FOX to promote this episode that was very similar in tone to the ads for the movie?

4. Wasn't a preview
It was a short, and it all rhymed - and was, of course, all funny.

I had watched the X-Files before, but began watching regularly after seeing this story in the theater.
