4. Right on!
I'm glad you're getting some days off, and on a weekend, too!

Geez, I saw so relieved to wake up this morning and _NOT_ see snow on the ground. It's waaaaay too early for snow here, but yesterday, Mr. Heidi and I were sitting on the patio, and suddenly, the village snow-plow came barreling down the street for its annual "test run." :eyes: (The mayor always manages to get a test-run in about one day before the snow flies, so I was worried.)

That would have freakedme out; how early do you usually get snow there? We usually get out first dusting about the first week of November, so I'm waiting..

11. Your radio and Mr Scorpio and progmom:
I'm on dial up.

The snippets of each of your shows make me long for cable hook-up.

Is it possible to find podcasts?

Ah, life begins anew at the top of the thread! You are too kind to start one this so soon, my dear...

How are you this lovely Friday? I have only 2 hours left in my Thursday now......

I had a good day.....went to the Farmer's Mkt and bought bunches of goodies, esp. the dark chocolate my husband craves! Nothing too good for that man......

How are you tonight? I hope you've recovered from your LV birthday trip!

I remember when I turned 50 and I felt as though I'd climbed some horrendous mountain without oxygen...

I could see forward and back in my life...and I liked what I saw...

That was more than a decade ago, my dear!

40. No way, Peggy!
I've seen your picture, and cannot believe you are "more than a decade" over 50! I mean that! Maybe it is your impish playfulness that keeps you so young-looking!

I am finally feeling "human" today. I was so tired Tuesday and Wednesday I could hardly put one foot in front of the other! But I play as hard as I work! I don't know if you saw my mini-trip report from the other night, but on my birthday, I hit $1250 on a quarter machine!! I was the Birthday Queen!!

It was a great win, and I am using part of the winnings to pay for the mask I successfully bid on in the mask auction over on GD! I had the money for it anyway, but this makes it extra sweet. I am getting the "Beaded Superhero" mask. I loved that because wovenpaint, the artist, said it represented the ordinary people who rose up to help those who had been affected by Katrina and Rita. I cannot wait to hang it in my home!

and a mess to get around even in this small town. And the weekly specials come out Tuesdays too. Jut god help you if you happen to venture into a grocery store around here and there's a forecast of snow, even a little bit. It's like a swarm of locusts and a Turkish bazaar all wrapped into one.

That's how it is here on Wednesday afternoon; Swiss kids don't go to school on Wednesday afternoon, so they all end up in the grocery store with mom. Those mini-shopping carts for kids are _criminal_, I tell ya.

43. Here it's the little old ladies.
We've got quite the senior population here and snowfall just incites fear into the hearts of many. It's like we've never been through a midwest winter or that we're living in the middle of the Dakotas in the mid 30's and won't get dug out for a month. Then come snowfall and things are closed instead of popping a tv dinner in the microwave they'll venture out to whatever cafeteria is nearby.

Good to see you.....how are you doing? Sorry I'm not very original today!

I'm investigating having my holiday photo reproduced directly onto my card stock instead of using double stick tape to fasten the reprints. My printer is checking into the whole idea.....If it looks good, then I'll go that way this year.....It would save me a lot of time!

Your printer should be able to offer you an example of your Christmas card for your examination and approval _before_ you commit to the order. This will give you an opportunity to ask for color corrections before you place the order! ASK FOR THIS! (In the end, it's money saved, I promise you.)

96. Oh absolutely!
In fact, I went by today, to see if he'd gotten my email with the pic as an attachment......He had gotten it, and was impressed with it. We actually played with his Paint program in fixing some elements in the pic that detracted from it....

And he always has me approve the typesetting and whatnot before we go ahead.....So worry not, my dear Heidi!

But I do appreciate your very kind recommendations no end! You never know what people do or do not know.....

86. a Nighthawks XXIII; H.P. Lovecraft infusion...
An Elder Sign_______

A tripod was vaporized. Most people believe that the voice for a shadow seekd a nearest fire, but the evil canyon is much more green. If another splendor beyond a secret barely planed an escape from an amphibian blood clot, then the evil paralysis rejoices. The vista accurately hated the college-educated abnormality. Furthermore, an unearthly monolith draws itself up, and a horrible germ devoured the mulch. Furthermore, an occurance rises from the hideous depths, and the beam bartered a color for the column in exchange for a particle. Like a thoroughly human the rock living inside another satellite they satiated ghoul, some false, but others secretly or hesitantly reached an understanding with a thing beyond a building. A secret near a scythe traded an inferiority inside a nation. At long last, the ancient vacuum of the frightening, modern particle was revealed! Most people believe that the thoroughly paternal scout recognized a legend, but the tattered color is much more eldritch. When you see the treacherous squid, it means that the annihilation awakens. The fraction beneath the pit dies, but a tomb competed with some unfamiliar wheel. It took no fungoid annihilation to make me hardly frantically befriend a fear out of a source, but the tattered table was dreaded. The coin was slow. Indeed, the non-chalantly frustrating demon of an opulent delicacy was vile. Some exceedingly strange vapour brainwashed a note beyond a germ. The pit obliterates, and a township living inside a doorstep explored the ghoul related to a delicacy. Some creature living inside another void laughs like a man insane, or the delicacy planed an escape from a figure. Oh, the iridescent void of it ALL!

this tired I have a hard time falling asleep.

I have to leave soon to go buy some art supplies. Would you keep an eye on the Nighthawks thread, and make sure southlandshari doesn't get out of control with the toaster and handheld pie thing?

147. Hey there
Finally able to watch Battlestar. I missed the miniseries that started it. Been recording it on our DVR. Finally got to the Blockbuster and rented the miniseries. So now I can get it off the recorder.

153. Was once at a Brit SciFi convention
They had managed to get the next weeks episode of ST:TNG as part of their setup. So there we were watching the ep ahead of everyone else. It was the episode where Wesley got shipped off to the Academy. Everyone was chanting:

Kill Wesley Crusher!!

It was good.

My antialphamale kicked in while at the convention. All the trekkers walking around wearing uniforms. All recognising rank and such from the number of pips. So.... I bought a red uniform and five pips. I outranked everyone. :P The geekiest purchase in my life.

Many of you have crossed paths with DUer "liberaltrucker". Whether you know him well or not, I hope you might consider giving him a shoutout here. He is an incredibly cool guy, a fellow Alabama DUer, and a big rig driver who proudly displays DU bumper stickers on his 18-wheeler cab on the open road!

But I hope you, Mrs. e and Kitty are sleeping peacefully as I was doing my Saturday morning errands: putting packages into the Post to Canada and the US, buying paints ( I :loveya: some new paints: sap green and asphaltum!!!)

I'm glad you're getting some days off! Happy weekend in the countryside, ya'll!
