Actually he was four yesterday but Dad had to work all day, so his mother and I agreed to celebrate today.

How about it Lounge Lizards, Any creative ideas for presents for a four year old boy?

2. Some kind of noisy, kid-sized musical instrument
Just kidding

What about something artsy & craftsy....? An easel? A how-to origami kit? Water-soluable finger paints?

4. What does he like?
I always love buying books... some favorites are Pigeon Finds a Hot Dog, Kisses, and Mr Seahorse.

My kids love this game called Buckaroo... you stack things on this horse until he bucks it off.

Another favorite - Hot Wheels!

Have fun celebrating!

10. Hey, my kids LOVE Spongebob! and they're 8 & 11
In fact, we ALL love Spongebob in our family. Spongebob is a TRUE INNOCENT...which is why he's so funny.

I've never heard the gay thing before. That's bizarre. Whatever. :eyes:

Ugh.

Isn't it amazing how judgmental and stupid people can be sometimes? Often, at the SAME TIME! :eyes:

6. Anything Spider-man related.
My little 4 year-old guy can't get enough of that Spidey. Bought him his Spider-Man Halloween costume and he absolutely refuses to take it off. It'll be in shreds by the time Halloween actually gets here.

Can't go wrong with Spider-Man.

9. Old fashioned Tinker Toys and Lincoln Logs
My daughter got them around that age and LOVED them. She is 6 now, and the long sticks from the Tinker Toys have been converted to Harry Potter wands, but she still pulls them out every once in a while and plays with them

13. We got ours stuff for his Playmobil Airplane.
We got him the plane for a gift earlier in the year and he LOVES it.

But he didn't have a way to push it away from the gate or put fuel in it, so we got him the Jet Service Vehicle and Tanker Truck for his 4th birthday last month. Fortunately, he doesn't know the Airport exists. :)

28. You bet!
He's actually our grandson ... and we only get to see him a few times/year. Last time he was here, he was SUCH a good boy that I told him I was going to send him a thank-you gift. He had gone on his first flight, so he was pretty fascinated with airplanes. Naturally, he wanted an airplane. I didn't know they had such a toy! He just loves it! :)

Have you decided what to get for your 4-year-old yet?

23. A Hop Ball
(and now you can get them for adults, too... I want one!)
My son loved his! When we bought it we had to take it right to the park to inflate it. He sat on it, grabbed the handles and bounced off chanting "Bingy, Bingy, Bingy" as he bounced across the grass. It's great exercise, and if you have a big enough hall or room, can be used indoors.
My son just turned 11, and we still have the "Bingy-Bingy" ball. Sometimes we hang it up outside and he and a friend have fun taking turns bopping it like a giant, soft punching bag.
I googled "hop ball" and here is one site that sells them (also large ones for adults), but toy stores and fitness stores sell them, too. http://www.fitbuy.com/pd/bd5408009.html
Amazon has this Hop ball with Sponge Bob on it, but it sounds a bit smaller than the one we have...
