Need help with cat allergies
I have an adult cate who's got allergy issues. He's been to the vet and they determined no upper respiratory infections. He's otherwise healthy besides the constant sneezing. The problem is he refuses to take his benadryl. I need some kind of food to help him suppress his allergies. I already have him on urinary tract dry food formula to deal with that problem. He's suddenly stopped eating his wet food and is weight's gone down. So I need to find some kind of science formula for allergies that he'll like and get his weight back up.

1. Are you giving it orally as a liquid or tablet?
If it's a tablet, they have this stuff (like a flavored toothpaste-type thing) that you can sort of roll the tablet in and my kitties alays take their meds easier. Also, do you know how to give a cat their tablet medications properly? It can be tough until you get the hang of it.

My kitties love Nutro dry kitty food - it's a little more expensive, but they all go nuts for it (and it seems to keep them very *cough* rotund! Maybe you could try that?

2. It's liquid Benadryl

and I tired pills but you'd need those super thick bird handling gloves to hold my cat for those! He sees me with the liquid bottle and goes running. I'll look for Nutro. They eat dry fine it's the canned food they won't eat now. Perhaps the pouch food they'll like.

3. Oh, I see...
Hmm. Can you maybe ask for it in a tablet form and crush it up and mix it up in tuna or something really yummy for the kitty? Iwould definitely give the pouch food a try for awhile, at least until you can get his weight back up. I'm surprised though that he is losing weight - I have one kitty who eats pretty much exclusively the dry food and he's over 22 pounds!

Maybe the vet has some ideas? There may be something else going on with him that he's losing weight?

4. Try California Natural canned food
My cats really like it, and basically it's chicken and rice. Good luck. I have two cats with allergy issues and it's not fun. :hi:
